THE CELEBRATION OF BURIED LOVE AMONG TODAY NIGERIANS
Here is the how the story end;
After his(Mr John) long boring story. of which I couldn't all assimilate or not much interested about, yet I make sense of some few critical but important part of it. To me its heart-touching that wedded my emotional and psychological dissatisfaction. Let me not make it appeared more bore than it was by adding more stray. After the end of the incessant blessings and prolong gestures of gratitude he clustered on me, My son, he said. I'm married for twenty five years now, blessed with three children, two males and a female. Of which the first are currently running their undergraduate degree program, I'm a low civil servant working as a teacher in public primary school. ( I yearned and released little unnecessary cough, upon hearing his last words). To be honest with you my son. He proceed, I almost exhausted my working years not left with more than three years now to retire. All those my two decades in the civil service I couldn't able to save enough for my family from crumbling financially. For my salary isn't enough to face the challenges when residing in the city. ( I adjusted my legs to relief them from muscle sore by placing them in same spot for so long ). So I decided to workout transfer to my hometown (a village), but the challenge I had was already my two children are in school, leaving them wouldn't be good for them. But nothing could be done, we have no any choice than to leave the city If only I want my children to continue their education without been dropout due to financial issues. ( by this time I glanced my watch, I have less than fifteen minutes to listen his life story). When he realized I'm beginning to lose interest, he tried best to summarized it in a more condense form. Mike if not for his hardworking attitude( his first son), I would have being in total mess than this. To tell you since my protracted illness of diabetes of which I spend all the little savings I had, in fact that would not be enough for the treatment I have to obtain bank loan. Ever since then, I could not be able to pay their school fees save for the aid of Mike income from his bakery work. You know to struggle to pay for both of them isn't easy for him?( I nodded my head to answer him). I see nothing more to show them my love and gratitude than coming down from my village to their school just to pay them visit time by time. My son that is how I encountered with mal. Yakubu. I stood for awhile battling my emotions, then I stared at Mal. Yakubu with snare. Trying to pity Mr.John, but then I remembered my vow(that I wouldn't side anyone) after all who will blame the innocent pity okader-man? He has to feed his family. Quickly enough I gave my judgement; they were both right only that they don't know their common enemy; I realized that for them, they are fighting two enemies: the masked villain- hunger, and the bold-opened poverty. These two evils when one is possessed by them, sorry they wouldn't leave your bodies until you fight each other to bleeding. No amount of sophisticated exoticism will do any good. And I think the machineries of these evils are the oriented political-eliticism governance of our nation.
GINA WEEKEND COLUMN.: I discuss my experience, opinion on Nigeria politics. And give my commentary on the social, economic and cultural happenings. All these are base on my understanding and conviction of Nigeria society. Thus comments and objective criticism are most welcome.

WHY FEMINISM WILL NEVER SUCCEED IN AFRICA
Some few decades ago feminism waves begun to sweep the intellectual
environment of African women. The word ‘feminism’ has no problem, but the
way its served as guide to every misfortunes, public immorality, and its
intellectual timidity upon which its adherents gathered under a single umbrella
to clamoring gender equality in virtually every aspect of society management.
That alone done the ravaging enmesh in the psychology and mental thoughts
of African women.
Which in turn brought about the pervasive traumatic problems and all sort of
the reality of our society vices and disorder. However, my reason for this
censor is never the’ gender equality’ of what feminism literally stand for,
rather it is the worldwide campaign trend its adherents outrageously seeking
its endorsement with little or not iota consideration of people’s cultures,
norms, and social values. Even though one of African Nigerian young women
writer of 21st century feminist advocate, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie out
rightly write in promotion of African feminism: she has this to say in her talk
she delivered in December 2012 at TEDxEuston the paper titled { “We should
all be feminists”}, a yearly conference focused on Africa. ‘ when I decided to
call myself feminist, then an academic, a Nigerian woman told me that
feminism was not our culture, that feminism was un-African, and I was only
calling myself a feminist because I had been influenced by western books.
She then proceed further. ‘Anyway, since feminism was un-African, I decided I
would now call myself a happy African feminist. Then a dear friend told me
that calling myself feminist meant that I hated men. At some point I was a
happy African feminist who does not hate men and who likes to wear lip
gloss and heels for herself and not for men’.
You will agree with me if I say feminism from the onset as a school of
purported ‘radical’ movement from western worldview , was deficient and had
neither fully nor adequately dealt with the questions and problems of race,
racism,{ especially white supremacist anti-black racism} and has waves which
are totally antagonizing our Africa struggles and believes , not to talk of the
intellectual exclusivist of Black Africa ‘lived-experiences and life-worlds’
beginning from horrors of colonial experience to the malice capitalism
oppression and subjugation of black Africans both continental and Diaspora
{ fundamental issues bordering Black Africans for a very long time has never
be advocated by the so-called ‘African feminists’}. Based upon the above
facts of ‘feminism’ its one-sided fight and agitation of ‘equality of rights for
women’ and their exclusion of black-African intellectual struggle of anti-
colonialism, anti- capitalism,anti-racism, and all other praxis written. Hooks,
1981, writes “ Together to fight for women’s rights because we did not see
‘womanhood’ as an important aspect of our identity. Racist, sexist,
socialization had conditioned us to devalue our femaleness and regard race
as the only relevant label of identification” . if only those Africa ‘Radical
feminists’ of our time could perhaps ponder, meditate and have reflection on
these few lines and other works of women like Hooks, { African-American},
only then the African ‘gender equality’, and the political rights will be surely
achieved in its fullest form. But before that should be accomplished African
women need to join the protracted fight of intellectual anti- racism, ant-
capitalism, ant-imperialism which African women left for only the African men
incessantly fighting. When this fight is won, every other thing will follow suit
{ like African feminism, and the state of Androgyny women are advocating.}.
All the negative effects of ‘feminism’ brought in African, it may be that it is
not the right platform for African women, in my mind, should African women
step onto the terrain and enter into the insurgent intellectual orbit of Africana
tradition of critical theory of anti-colonialism, anti- capitalism, anti- racism
and consider themselves { African women} capable of revolt against white
supremacist to dismantle the white superior ideological theories of white
Marxism theory, and make uninterrupted journey to what C.L.R James{one of
the doyen Black African social critical theorists} incessantly major recurring
theme emphasized ‘transformation through revolution’ .’ .There will surely be
born an intellectual movement that will answered the questions and
addressed 'misogynism' and the society will be dual of "Philogynism' and
"Masculinism".

THE PROBLEMS WITH. NIGERIA : The problem with Nigeria is never the amalgamation of 1914,or was the disagreement held by Northerners when Anthony Enahoro tabled Nigerian independence in 1953 and yet is not the controversy the first census generated. In my humble view, the problem with Nigeria started the very time our then politicians allowed their selfish interest and thirst for power blindfold their consciousness and faculty of reasoning on the guise of fighting for the equality of their region. And it is the origin of our nation political deception, where masses are being misguided by the country's selfish and unpatriotic politicians, that your biggest enemy is your fellow citizens of other part of the country(the beginning of regional and ethnic deference). Which make people of that time lack tolerance that is now passing on to generations after generations, which consolidate the desolate valley of ignorance and darkness of disunity in the country's political, social and religious development. To me the most evil person is that ignorant who care less to know and still justifies his lack of knowledge. These such people if happen they are given sensitive positions in country leadership are usually the ministers and advocates of campaign for ' intolerance'. JUST COMMISERATING OUR SORRY NATION.

L. S. S. BUK CHAPTER : THE JOURNEY BACK TO DARK AGES.
It's bizarre and outlandish that law student society, Bayero university Kano
chapter paddling on the old ideas that had for so long be discarded by the
challenges and development of modern forces of intellectual transformation.
Which I'm very sure even in Nigeria secondary schools where we known it to
pervasive, ( unnecessary seniority), majorities of the private own schools even
with many public schools is of no existence anymore especially in their now
modern-oriented academy system. It is mockery to the nobility of faculty of
law (particularly Bayero university Kano) that whilst others faculties of law are
craving their ways toward achieving success by competing in mock/moot trial
both national and international, debates and intellectual talk shows. Here L.
S. S. BUK, is busy casting shadow on trivial and frivolity on the outdated
principle of 'seniority '.Because of this derogatory term no any Junior
colleague would be spared their incessant berate and lambasting if such
student failed to recognize their never-deserved dignity and respect they
campaigning on umbrella of 'pride'. This word 'seniority ' is ravaging the
whole faculty especially within students, the destruction of this misleading
concept is no longer something that we can be silent about or pretending no
to act. For its left majority of the so-called 'seniors' misguided to such an
extent that someone in the higher class will be looking down on his junior
colleague, just because he senior him with a class or two. And where the
worst of the misguidance appear obviously is whenever a junior colleague
engaged in an intellectual conversation /argument with his senior colleague,
to the so called 'senior ' he falsely think that he has discretion to discredit
and debunk whatever opinion/points his junior made in the course of their
involvement even in a conversation he too seen obviously ignorant about.
(this is how far the concept 'seniority' mislead them). What they failed to
understand is that intelligent is never measured by higher rank of class nor
will it be measured by the luxury of the basic school (secondary, high school)
you might have attended prior to your admission to university. Intelligence is
divinely endowed to just few selected people coupled with the hard work in
striving to unleash the gift. The sooner they understand this, the better for the
development of the death L. S. S. For this misguidance had broken the ties of
brotherhood and understanding socializing within the students, of which they
know of law students customs and traditions. It has been a course of our
disunity and lack of trust for a long time, which made the foundation of our
relationship slant and pervert the little love we had for each other. And so
long this misguidance of 'pride'continue to consume them and blindfold their
sensibility, I'm sorry to say, the more quicker our paces to the journey back to
the dark ages. Where empty pride will reign and arrogance will rock stand and
humbleness will be wiped out from people's hearts. Though a knowledge that
did not earn you position of honor in the society and make you humble toward
people, is the worst of all knowledge.

AN EPISTLE TO UNWISE FELLOW
Sometimes as I read so I write.
Pulled by th' inspirational medicine
In between everylines lies curative
Spells trimming in the depth of th' heart.
Sometimes the beautiful work of art
beseech my intellectual reasoning
so on write. Careful with everyword
pen down. Slow in accuracy, atimes,
speed like driving force of the universe.
Far be it aforementioned of flowing whims
A strike is an obscure gesture that requires
calm and sound reasoning to solve. But,
A double more strokes is calling sublime
ravaging and wrench of near awaiting tumult.
A fool should strip your heart naked be swift to,
sought their fathers names and slow not to drop,
on their eardrums the oblivious penury and trifling Lineage
Accursed who bring to sound the silence murmur
I tongue -tide for decades. But blessed who stirs them
not the meek silence mind and let the kind peace and,
Love take the lots!.
For only fool that unveiled centuries of secretbond,
that hold humanity in tranquility so love and peace reign.
If they call them fools so they denied and sneer in dismay.
But fools strike where saints fear to touch, formal education
give morals and intellect but fools benefit not. So they trend,
with unmasked decades of shame, lest of breaking concrete
family ties that centuries to consolidate.
Some fools are wise only they are deprived of the maize of education
But insincere fools those are devils and hungry wolves in human
form designed, all circles of civilization alas, decaying in morals and
intellectual reasoning so they lack humane.
By extension myopic of human importance and potentiality.
Should these fools contemplate long loneliness thinking
Only then they will relieve their morals toward human
And adjust. Alas they are dark-hearten and uncivilized minds.

ARE WE BORN TO SUFFER?
despite the numerous negative responses i received from some of my readers who to them, i'am too harsh to Buhari's government. and they can't withstand my critism toward a man who in their own view and understanding is nothing but a saint and imerculate of all human flaws. others still see it that i'm too unfavorable to the government, while only few seem to make sense out of what is written and view it objectively, to these few thier comments and observation are educative and inspiring.
I think someone must have the moral courage to check the excesses of the tyrants of this our sorry nation.
but what they failed to understand is that, a social commentator and critic does not always seek to be sycophant to any government rather, his major task is to bring out the lapses and flaws that are not beyond human correction. comment on them and make a objective criticism about them so that government will realize its mistakes and adjust to change it for betterment of the society in general.
if truth be told, the fact is people are suffering untold hardship everyday gone by. majority of the country who constitute poor masses and low income earners drastically transformed into meagre while the unskilled ones had no any choices than to become beggars in their own country .

THE HOMELESS ARE ALSO RESTLESS
The dungeon shiver of helpless homeless
Lay bare their hearts and souls in biting dark of emptiness
Their thoughts form thick clouds
Horrors hovering above their heads.
The threatening noises of their hungry stomachs,
Mixed with squalor sounds of their angry hisses.
All these build their colorful world of sadness
A world of their own where sufferness and struggles,
Battling for survival from hunger and shelterless,
Are rituals and routines of their lives.
Every inches a stuff, every escape a record, every survival a history.
The homeless have no voices
No one listen to them
No one cares, or they expect no one to help them.
No place or home to claim, nor a shelter to sleep
Even the bridges that are tolerance of their pauper living,
No bureaucrat has the courage to left them alone
Or allow them the access to the bridges!
Sleeps on rocks and park benches for years,
Are rituals they must endure or admire.
Who cares that toddlers or crawling children wails?
They lure impatient child on their shoulders
Under the scorching suns or under biting nights.
Only the mothers listen, so they console blubbering father less
Will they endure the brunt without helping hand?
The homeless are aslo restless.

THE MENACE OF PROMISCUOUS BEHAVIORS AMONG OUR YOUTHS.
The youths of today in our societies are very so antisocial in their behaviors and lifestyle. Although, the blame on these societal vices are not one sided, there are key players today who channel all these illicit and illegality of our social management.
However, many psychologists experts and scholars had research -shown on how adolescent and youthful period of an individual dictate his/her own behavior that is either what the society endorsed or the figments of their own imagination. For the former no problem, as for the latter this is where every Moral principles of societal norms, culture and ethics are usually being put to test on the individual behavior and living as a member of the society.
Therefore, the promiscuous behaviors among our youths today is never something imaginative or rather it was originated from the very foundation of our societies.
More so, going by the view point of psychologists, adolescent period of every individual that is (from age 12-18years) is the most critical stage and period of human being. Very critical in the sense that, they are promoting from formative stage to a stage where every lessons and experiences they received would be vying each other to be practical. Thus they need concrete evidence in order to be convinced. Here parents and guardians have to double their efforts based on giving that particular child s strict moral, social and religious discipline and impose self-restrain and self-control in them. Because at this stage an individual is exposed to the wider world with all its lustfulness and complexities such as ; they will make peer group, striving to have autonomy, to be themselves with freedom and struggling to have a partner for sex competition.
In trying to have that autonomy and freedom these is always in conflict between the choices of the child and the choice of the parents. The child will think he is being oppressed and dictated on how he will live his own life, which he can never succumb. He will be always seeking his own choice and interest prevails over the parents'.
In the case where patents failed on their duties in giving Moral training, it is what would bring us on the topic of the essay which is the promiscuous behavior among our youths. The typical case study of Baruten societies where we are living in decaying environment in which moral bankruptcy is reigning in the arena of illiteracy and pervasive ignorance. Our youths today are engaged in every form immoral and illicit behavior like; smoking, drinking and forms of intoxication. Over dozing themselves with unnecessarily administration of pills and syrups, these affect our society in many ways among them are; ubiquitous criminal tendency and criminal behavior, irresponsibleness, arrogance, disobedience, neurosis diseases, derelict living, broken homes and poverty. Etc.
Today due to the negative effect of these social vices resulted into our realities we are battling in the societies. Its bring the increase rate of illegal sexual intercourse, illiteracy and ignorance, poverty and theft within and among the youths that make us a society that is moving without progress, the journey that can never end based on based on degeneration and underdevelopment.
Moreover, all these vices of our societies and the antisocial behaviors among our youths can solved or reduced into a reasonable percentage through these recommendations and suggestive points:
• There should be a special enforcement agency that can look to that effect of drug abuse and smoking of our youths.
• There has to be a strict Moral discipline and enlightenment training centers for our youths. That is a governmental platform where youths in school and outside schools can be educated both moral and social aspect of living.
• Government should enforce special act enacted by the state legislative that can deal with the prohibition and prevention of illegal drugs administration for time being.
• Parents should help the teachers in training their children from homes before they get into responsible age at schools.

THE CELEBRATION OF BURIED LOVE AMONG TODAY NIGERIANS
The ornery of inadequacy of sensitive and well-intentioned economy team to reduce the harshness of the country's current situation of inflation and so-called recession, contributed immensely to the reality of everyday Nigerians suffering from the lack of maintaining daily meals. Which would make them derelicts, not having the capability to afford the basics. Today in Nigeria many homes has be shattered by hunger and starvation, many children are out of schools simply because parents can't pay their fees, many dignified but hard-working folks were reduced to 'high class beggers' those who will beg for only food and they do it only in religious centers and not in the streets.
I can continue the stark, but my emotional stunning wouldn't let me. It wouldn't be long before civil servants with minimum wages of eighteen thousands naira salary to be propel into stinking business of 'high class beggary. Although I stand to be guided.
My little conviction isn't squawking before I encountered this sorrowful but mug incident, that you are about to read between one Mr John and mallam Yakubu. This dourly incident alone thrust my consciousness and left me emotionally sap, which however, informed my today's column. Enjoy the distressful story as it goes.
Mallam Yakubu is a 'okada man' whose job is to carry persons from the main gate to the campus (dormitory). That being is work, Mr John came to require his service and mallam Yakubu accepted to carry him to his destination. As it happen, they reached where Mr John have to stop though, Mr John haven't ask about the fare from the gate to the dormitory yet it is his first time to visit the place these unknown to mall. Yakubu tthus, he thought his humble passenger wasn't new to it. After he dropped from the bike mall. Yakubu inquired of his money, now Mr John asked how much will that be, which the okada rider said is # 70. Mr John could not accept to give him the required amount,he offer to give #50, but mall. Yakubu was not satisfied. This could not have went with calm and sense of reasoning from the both, soon it generated into rowdiness and strife between the two when mall. Yakubu realized that Mr John could not find the even the #50 he is insisting, However, this couldn't end well some sensitive people have come and settle between them which of course I happen to be one of those people. Afterwards they both narrated their part of the story with engrossing grievances, I tried to be temporary judge. Though, I didn't side with either of the parties involved as well as tried not to give judgement. The simple instinct that stroke me at the moment, to let peace trust reign and peace take the lot, I gave mall. Yakubu his due amount( not trying to impress). After the flames of anger died out, Mr John Attempt to give me the snapping social position which he found himself ( of course is very common with Nigerians, that whenever you extended a helping hand to them especially during the dearest need will have to give you needless details about themselves and their problems. Though I'm never for once interested, it's always bored to me, but then what could I have done to stop the grieving man?).
To be continued next week.
