GINA WEEKEND COLUMN,
BY:HABIBU GENTE
ARE WE BORN TO SUFFER?
despite the numerous negative responses i received from some of my readers who to them, i'am too harsh to Buhari's government. and they can't withstand my critism toward a man who in their own view and understanding is nothing but a saint and imerculate of all human flaws. others still see it that i'm too unfavorable to the government, while only few seem to make sense out of what is written and view it objectively, to these few thier comments and observation are educative and inspiring.
I think someone must have the moral courage to check the excesses of the tyrants of this our sorry nation.
but what they failed to understand is that, a social commentator and critic does not always seek to be sycophant to any government rather, his major task is to bring out the lapses and flaws that are not beyond human correction. comment on them and make a objective criticism about them so that government will realize its mistakes and adjust to change it for betterment of the society in general.
if truth be told, the fact is people are suffering untold hardship everyday gone by. majority of the country who constitute poor masses and low income earners drastically transformed into meagre while the unskilled ones had no any choices than to become beggars in their own country .
those religious among them who still borne some little trace of hope did not abruptly become street beggars, rather they are who i used called 'high class beggars'. who will go to religious centers at the end of every congregational prayers, they will stood in different entrances just to voice out their grievance of derelict living hoping that people will solace them and come to their aid.which kept me asking a rhetoric questions when ever i reflect on these untold hardships people are enduring. Are we born to suffer?.
GINA WEEKEND COLUMN.: I discuss my experience, opinion on Nigeria politics. And give my commentary on the social, economic and cultural happenings. All these are base on my understanding and conviction of Nigeria society. Thus comments and objective criticism are most welcome.
